however, massive doses of fluids, spicy foods and sleep seem to be allowing me to recover quickly.

it probably would have helped to not have gone on the field trip yesterday, herding first-graders around downtown Santa Cruz in the cold and wind, helping them create a map of downtown. but i signed up weeks ago, and they needed the drivers. good intentions, the curse of my life. ;)

So lovely wife and darling daughter both have colds right now. Sadie is going stir-crazy when she has the energy for it, as she was home from school yesterday and still won't be going anywhere today. She's supposed to be going to a birthday party tomorrow, but probably won't as we don't want to be giving the birthday boy a cold for his birthday. (Then again, the likelihood of the party happening as scheduled is somewhat dependent on the weather, which right now is what tends to be called "inclement".)

I, meanwhile, am megadosing on Vitamin C and warm foods in an attempt to avoid the sickness myself. This is probably an exercise in futility, given the size of our house and Sadie's habit of dashing over any time someone sits down and flinging herself onto the lap thus created. But I gotta try...
