okay, what can I say. I'm happy.

The original versions of the first three Star Wars Films (yes, that's right, as originally seen by millions of us in the theaters) are being released on DVD.

of course, since Lucasfilm never tires of milking its fans, they're going to be in individual 2-disk sets with the 2004 "definitive versions", priced at $30 each.

So today was over-the-hill-and-to-the-mall(s) day. Lots of shopping. Boy, most of this year's designs are crap. (Of course, I've been thinking that every year for several years - this is why I wear essentially the same clothes (in some cases, actually the same clothes) that I wore in high school.

So, after much searching, suitable clothing was found for all family members. Then we had nice cheap sushi (how come the sushi is generally a) better and b) cheaper in San Jose than it is in Santa Cruz? We're right next to the freakin' ocean here, people!) and came home.

Nice day with nothing essential to do. Haven't had one of those in a while.
