Ingmar Bergman is dead.
The entry title, in case you don't know, refers to "The Seventh Seal", which is alleged to have been Bergman's favorite of all the films he directed (most of which he also wrote.).
What can one say about Bergman? Lots of stuff, but the best summary IMHO is this:
Here was a man who loved films. Not just as a writer/director/producer and occasional actor, but as a filmgoer himself.
