so, Barry Bonds tied Babe Ruth's 714 home runs yesterday. big deal.
I'm more concerned about Barbaro, the thoroughbred that won the Kentucky Derby and then broke his leg in the Preakness yesterday. Apparently his leg broke above and below the ankle - that's a very bad injury for a horse. At least veterinary technology has improved enough that they didn't have to shoot him on the track in front of everyone... but it's touch and go whether his leg can be suitably repaired. Almost certainly, he'll never race again.
In other news, went to an old friend's wedding yesterday. Great fun. Fortunately, the rain held off until after everything was finished.
I'm still a bit tired today, though. Maybe I'll go back to bed now. :)
