axolotl9so we were out of town for a couple of days, then my in-laws (both freshly retired) came to town. so a lot of family obligations the past week. and tomorrow, i'll become a single parent for the rest of the week as ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
songspinner9 is going to the NECC conference in San Diego with her mum. *sigh* not that this will be a really different thing - her class has a 3-day outdoor ed trip every fall that the teachers go on too. still, it's stressful. dunno how those actual single parents do it, truly.
at least the traumatic leave-taking tomorrow will be salved by a barbecue at my uncle's house, at which most of my mom's side of the family will be in attendance (including both my uncle who lives in Georgia and my aunt who lives in Tennessee - it's been years (22 if i recall correctly - that was the year of my maternal grandparents' 50th anniversary party) since they've both been out here at the same time.
