been silent too long

well, for starters, getting ready for the New Job. yup, come the end of August I'm embarking on a new career - as a high school history teacher. Been teaching already, though - the school is paying me twice what I make at my current job to handle US Government twice a week so that the regular teacher, who is also the School Administrator (read principal) can do all her admin stuff. Not bad, except for the part where it's on my two days off from the Other Job (which I'm staying at 'til school starts) so I effectively have no days off right now. Still, the class ends in a week so I'll have some time to get myself together.
