Tex Hill attended the San Antonio Academy, a military boys school in San Antonio, where 3 of my nephews attended. He was a frequent guest speaker at the school. My brother attended several of his talks with his boys, and got General Hill to autograph a desktop model of a P-40, painted in the colors of his aircraft in the Flying Tigers.

I didn't get to meet him myself, but I've seen his interviews on the History Channel. A great man.
